When the Power goes out:
-
Please check your fuses and breakers to see if the outage is caused by a condition with your house wiring.
-
Contact your neighbors to see if the outage is limited or widespread.
-
Call (940) 895-3311.
-
Please be ready to give the name, telephone number, account number and location of the outage.
-
Leave one (1) switch on so you will know when electricity is restored.
-
Stay away from power lines. If a line is low or on the ground, please call J-A-C to report the problem.
-
It is a good idea to have some emergency supplies on hand (ie., candles, matches, flashlights)
Partial Power:
Partial loss of power in certain areas can mean a tripped breaker or fuse. This is an indication of an overloaded circuit or other electrical problem. When the cause is found, you should reset the breaker or replace the fuse. If necessary, you may need an electrician to locate your problem (J-A-C is not responsible for any problems on the member's side of the meter)
